yes. hondata is more user friendly. plus you dont have to deal with stupid codes and ****. i always had a problem with both turbo edit and uberdata and chrome.

hondata

that what you have to deal with tho if you want to run freeware. I run crome and when jason was tuning my car, all the sudden the program went nuts and pretty much changed every value that we had just spent two hours tuning. We worked around it but damn, that would never happen with hondata.

sounds like you guys had incompetent ppl workin with your freeware stuff. we use crome and i dont know how much more idiot friendly you need to get with that. hell i write my own programs with crome. about the only thing we have had happen is the chip doesnt get burned correctly the first time so we just try again. other than that crome hasnt failed use yet.

i was tuned by Jason https://honda-tech.com/zerouser...=4713

im pretty sure he knows what he is doing . Hondata is just much easier to navigate. You have to do a bunch of extra steps to do things where as hondata you push a function key. like i said, its not as user friendly as hondata.

Exactly (on the user friendliness).

Crome works. To a lesser extent, so do Turboedit and Uberdata (in that order). But none of them is as simple, easy to use and quick to tune as Hondata. Especially if you get the latest S300 (I realize this was about the S100).

I'm really looking forward to trying Neptune (currently in contact with the company about getting setup) as I've heard good things. But of the systems I've tried so far, Hondata is still the overall best among the "stock ECU" class of tuning software.

Ive never had one issue with tuning cars with crome...Ive done a few s300's and ran into a few issues..infact one of the cars that had s300 got so frustarated with it we ended up throwing crome on to make a race the next day...

I can tune a car faster with Crome than S300. I've tried. I'm familiar with both software packages. I've yet to tune any ITB cars with S300, but Crome's ITB code is pretty damn good at this point... Then again, I wrote the current version. Crome's greatest weakness is the documentation, or lack thereof. If you can get past that, it really works pretty ******* well.

The car that switched from s300 to crome ran a 11.8@120 (@9psi with a standard t3/to4e) the next day with about an hour of street tuning with big injectors and a 3 bar....

Hondata S100 does not support ITB's.

you can do igntion and afr, etc. You just dont have options like ITB tools. The base s100 comes with the most minimal options.

Agreed. They know best.

But I would still say crome. The ITB support is nice.

Kinda hard without datalogging with a map trace though.

I'm currently running TWM ITB's on my 2.0 with Hondata s200 tuned by Mase. It runs great. Drive it every day to work back and out to races.
