Default t3, external wastegate, adapter

okay so i have a drag turbo manifold and i like it alot but i dont like the fact that the manifold places the external wastegate flange on only runner #1,

so what i did at scchool was i made a t3 5 bolt flange, that tapers out from 2.1 inches to 3 inches, for the discharge and i made a hole THRU the flange (instead of blocking it off like other 5 bolt flanges, (the hole is the same size as the port for the internal wg.)

what i plan on doing is putting a tube on that and mounting an external wastegate on that, solving the problem where exhaust gas will be evacuated from all cyliners to bypass the turbine.

but i would like to know if the small size of that hole will really affect boost creep up high rpms, i would drill the hole bigger, and drilled the turbo out bigger to incease it's size, but the thing will have clearnece issues with my turbine outlet.

anyways guys if u have problems visualizing what i mean, take a look at the ATP flange they have now, and just imagine a hole where the WG block off part is...

please any input!!!

i say still with the wastegate on the manifold.. you dont seem to have much space to work with. it will creep more there rather than on the manifold

It's a good idea, but definately not the first time its been done.

If you are CNC milling it to begin with, why not machine bolt holes into the wastegate outlet on the flange, so that you can bolt the external wastegate directly to it?

the is no clearance for that, i would have to mill down a flat surface and take way too much off the turbine housing and i would still have downpipe clearance inssutes

i want to have actually a 90 degree bend coming out of that small hole and then to put the wg on that, im thinking about milling out the actual hole in my flange and on the turbine housing to a larger size,

any considerations on milling out the turbine housing Wastegate hole to aaround 38 mm, then using a 90 degree bend to mount the wastegate????

i cant really mount the wg directly onto the turbo because of clearance issuus with the 3 inch DP im planning
