I just bought a 2006 Si today, and i'm sure there's a lot i have to learn about it. I thought this car would be all redline power, but boy does it move off the line. This car is amazing.

imo 
the new civic is nice, but there were so many new cars this year that i belived desereved it more then a "CIVIC"
the new bmw 3 series
hyundai sonata (dont say ugh is a hyundai, man there are still a very new car company and they are growing really fast, and is becoming a very reliable car, and with all you ricer boys on this forum (a good 80% of you) a good number of people that buy cars is to get to point a to point b with having reliablity)
audi a4
new lexus IS series
infiniti M series
imo one of those cars should have won the award!
the new civic is nice, but there were so many new cars this year that i belived desereved it more then a "CIVIC" the new bmw 3 series

yeah if they were affordable to most consumers..... most of the "ricers" cannot afford none of the vehicles that you've listed above...
Like i stated in differnt thread... "price" is one of the reason the Civic was car of the year.... And the Hyundai??? Yeah it looks nice, improved perfomance, and cheaper...but realistictly.......I wouldn't take my chances with Hyundai for just few thousands dollars cheaper...

Car and Driver must be biased too... They actually went out to test and compare the Ridgeline against other major trucks....guess who won the 1st place???? you get the point......

All the cars you just mentioned were actually finalists. In the actual magazine they discuss each car and they give reasons why they didn't choose them. Just because a car "looks" nice doesn't mean anything.
