Default So Acura gives me an RS-X Loaner

i dropped my 01 gs-r off because it would grind going into third, and a few other things. heres a link if you really want to se it https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=141073.

they claim its either a syncro or they replace the whole tranny? do i even attempt to try and get an ITR tranny? i doubt theyll go for it.

anyway this piece of **** rsx has nothing on a GS-R or TYPE R....... and yes its an RSX type S (i couldnt believe it myself), its a fun car an all but no way would i ever own one

im not hating just speaking my opinion.
thanks for the space

Could you go into more detail on why you dislike the RSX-S and why you prefer the GS-R? I'd just like to hear some constructive comparisons for curiosity's sake. Thanks.

I think he means that the RSX doesn't feel/sound like a sports car while the GSR is obnoxious and is more sporty with alot more potential. Of course we don't know what the future holds for the RSX, but if you ask me, OBD3 isn't very friendly. They can't upgrade to OBD 1 like us G3er's

Wow....after I drove the RSX-s and then drove my car, I could really feel that 30hp difference. I don't know how you can't. Don't get me wrong, my car is fast as hell, but I still don't think I stand a chance against an RSX-s.....yet.

That new k series engine is a piece of ****. no opinion there, it's fact. flame all you want. i wouldn't own an rsx or the new civic si until they fix the issues with that boat anchor.

Sorry for the off-topic post:
Damian,

Please email Alex and let him know the stuff has been sent. I don't want to have to find another buyer.
Let him know what day they shipped out !

Thanks !

we got the new ITR here... which is basically a re badged rsx-s from your market.

i managed to have a good drive of my friends one, it feels more isolated than my gsr. The engine doesn't sound as good, and the steering is really... REALLY terrible. It is too heavy and has very poor feedback. I noticed torque steer and it loads up alot during cornering.
I don't seem to get these issues in my gsr. maybe something to do with leaving the double wishbone setup.

It does feel like it has a bit more low end torque, but the top end is only very slightly better... fwiw, both our cars are basically stock.
In a drag race, it is very very close, sometimes i win, sometimes him.

so yes, i think it's a piece of **** too.

i'd rather buy a renault clio sport than the new itr.
saves about $10k too.

i might add too, that the clutch was a tad too light. but the gear shift was perfect.

Okay, that's just plain idiotic of them. If I were the one buying the car, I'd demand another one. I'd feel uneasy buying a so-called "brand-new" car with more than 10 miles on it.

You should tell the guy who bought the RSX-S you're driving right now about this little incident.

I'd rather ride a bicycle with a flat tire than drive an RSX.

Now you've peaked my curiosity, guess I need to find some time to take one out for a spin. Even though I don't think I'll ever be in the market for a FWD compact anymore.

LOL in all honesty thats about it. i put almost 250 miles on it already. i just really wanted to give it a fair chance. no can do. i will say it will outhandle a stock gs-r, probably partially because of the bigger wheel/tire setup. there is no steering rsponse what so ever. i drove this thing hard, well both of them actually. im not impressed at all, especially with the automatic . for anyone that thinks im being impartial go drive one, youll see what we are all saying

I dont know, im starting to grow on the type-s. especially when they tested it in a new sport compact car mag or super street.. eh i cant remember which.. anyway, they bolted on a freaking cai and exhaust and made an additional 20 hp. i would love to see our cars do that. i would sh** if my intake and exhaust gave me a 20 hp gain. i think it gave it about 10 more tq as well. i cant wait to see what kind of gains some aftermarket cams give it. until then, all i can do is wait....

anyway, stock for stock, i prefer the g2 and g3 teg. but a modded rsx-s against a modded g2 or g3... hmm. .. i guess ill be waiting on some dyno results.
