Looks like I'm going back to the OEM front.

Just when I thought I was done with my car my luck sort of took a turn for the worse.
I had just gotten everything painted, and I just got my swap done and then...
(please excuse the camera phone pics)
my lower ball joint gave up, and this happened. My driver's side fender and sidekirt were ruined.
This gave me a little nudge toward going back to the OEM front, but I thought, nah, I'll stay with the CWEST. There was no point in crying about it, I was just glad my girlfriend and I weren't hurt during the incident. I got a new fender and was on my way.
Well, I guess I needed some more convincing, so...

a fellow employee did the honors of destroying my front bumper, lol. I was parked in front of her last night. When she turned her car on she forgot to take it out of 1st before letting out her clutch. I'll leave the rest to the imagination.
Anyways, she'll be back and better than ever with an oem front. I like both OEM and CWEST, I particularly liked the CWEST front, though, because it kinda set it apart from the rest, but, oh well. I know the time to sell her will come, and I know no one was going to buy it with a body kit
.
Thanks for looking, here's some more pics.

Thanks, funny how this all happens right after I quit my job.
Anyways, Monday's my last day, so help make the day go by faster by posting.
Comment, compliment, flame, or like Sirius said, give death threats. Anything will help ease the pain of senioritis.

Did the ball joint brake? Or did the one doing the swap not put it back on all the way......
That really makes me think, when something like this brakes and you doing 70mph. That would really suck.

I did the swap myself. I know I didn't overlook the LBJ, I tightened it down well, and put the cotter pin in. I'm actually very particular about the LBJ becaus it's so important.
Anyways, it didn't break. It and the castle nut were just very stripped. This happened when I was going maybe 30 on a freeway onramp. So I know exactly what you mean about this happening at a high speed. That's why I was grateful it happened then instead of when I was going faster.

Yeah, it basically sounded like dense metal clicking, probably the control arm or the knuckle. Except it sounded like it was coming from the shift linkage so I ignored it.
