Yeah, love the 5G/6G coupes more than anything, and just finished my stint with a B16 5G coupe. But unfortunately, a bitch decided to hit my vehicle with no insurance.

However, I am not going to do the same car in a 2x row, so a coupe is out.

I'm lookin for a CRX Si or Del Sol Si to start with next. Really want the Sol.

If I do get a CRX, I have to have the 94-01 Teg dash (I know this fits, I have a pic of an 88 hatch with DC dash) and a 99-00 front end conversion with Type R lights/grill/lip.

I know someone has done this without adding rice, but every pic I find of this conversion is either molded, or has a funky bodykit, or they mold the headlights onto a normal square CRX front, or all 3. Need a clean pic with OEM ****.

jdm front end, or stock, even ww kit, no custom **** to a crx, waste of time, money and looks like ***. Enjoy teh crx for what it is and spend that body work cash on suspension, b16a or even a turbo kit. Please these cars are becoming rare, dont destroy another one

 

for the 99-00 Front end I would go with the Del Sol. there is a local guy that has it done. Looks sweet.

the ek front end on a CRX is fugly. It has different body lines.

 

I think the SiR hatch front &gt; SiR CRX front.

Does it bolt on w/o mods?

BTW, I think CRX with a newer dash, front, and some DC2 mirrors is like breathing new life into something old. I mean, if you did a CTR front on a rex with DC2 mirrors, and interior, lots of people wouldn't think it's old at all.

IMO, the BODY of the CRX looks current, but the dash, and front look old.

To the guy saying I shold do another coupe, no point. I had the best kind of coupe already, an all power, black interior B16 coupe. If I do an 96-00, it'll be the same thing, just heavier, and with a gray dash. Plus, I want 2 seats.

That is super duper cool...how about this...buy the 96+ coupe...nope sorry people like you deserve the 02 or 03 (whatever the year) the crappy Si I think that would look super with your DC mirrors CTR front end. Hey you could even throw some lanards on the front and a wing on the back. That would be P-I-M-P

yeah my 88 crx is old, it makes it stupid, sure i have a built b16a but thats not "current", infact dont buy one they look stupid, a pimp like you needs a 92+ honda for sure. IMO buy a 96 hatch and then do all that ****, please dont buy something old, crxes dont get you ***** or respect, infact everyone in hondatech thinks crx are gay and stupid yO!

Yes it is a total waste of money to add a 99-00 front end on a crx. And yes it will look like *** and yes you will regret it later in life. The only conversion that I will ever do is a 92-95 EG front end on a del sol.

i was pretty surprised how it looked....

the body work wasnt half-assed, and paint was good..... so the car looked pretty factory.

i wouldnt do that **** to my car, but for a conversion... it looked pretty nice.

i saw that one (wasnt it copper) , look hella clean, mad props for teh work, but in the end it look out of place, stock owns all, remember that crx a while ago with jdm one piece dc headlights and supra tails, that one was nice, but too drastic.

Agreed, that is a good way to save an aging Del Slow from impending doom, but only if I couldn't trade it for a 88-89 CRX.

Anytime anybody says they want to convert a CRX/EF Hatch to anything other than EF8/EF9 it makes me want to cry, there goes another opportunity for style and fun to drive factor down the drain. The CRX is one of the most unique vehicles out there that anybody has ever designed that was so successful at just being a great daily driver and a wicked track monster. I am partial though, I prefer the 4th gen Civics and 2nd gen CRXs (best model designs Honda ever had, IMO) over almost any other "H" out there, save maybe an S2000 or the new 06 Si Civic (I would trade my wife for one of those ).

no the CRX i was talking about was in san diego..... when streetracing was still fun. (before FATF)

was painted like a blackish/blue.

but if you guys could get pics of the one on import tuner. post em up.
