del sol seats in 4g hatch
Oh no the whole seats thing again, what a nightmare. Seat fitting for me has been hell. Cutting floorboards, changing tracks/sliders, sitting too high, too low, too far back. I tried the 90 si seats into a 89, I tried the 5th gen ex seats into a 88, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHH Hope you find an easier way, for me it was a true taste of HELL.

ive done it...its really actually easy....rather than cutting and welding and all that jive just do this... buy some 1/4 or 3/8" flat steel bars from the hardware store...(I had 93si rails swapped on the bottom of the delsols...from my old si r.i.p.)
ONE of the front bolts will line up..cant remember which...then drill two holes in the metal piece (sorry..cut it to length first) one whare the hole on the floor is and one whare the seat hole is...in the back do the same on the outside, and on the inside drill a hole in the floor..use some washers or big spacers (you can use 2 plates if you want..i didnt though) to make a stack long enough for a bolt that will go to the bottom of the car. Tighten a self locking nut on the bottom of the car..and *kapow* del sol's in a 4G ..if you missed anything i was saying call me at 414-803-4087 and ill help you out. Btw...that set up held up to a minivan doing 40mph into my rearend while i was wating at a stoplight.

it's not even that hard!!, get 4 1/4 inch by 1 1/2" lag screws, drill a little hole after lining the seats up and screw them it, they don't move at all, and they sit perfect and they still slide fine. don't make it seem so difficult.

he's got a good point... just drilling and screwing isn't too safe. The whole deal with the metal strips must work if it held up to that rear end collision, but if it isn't stock mounting I just wouldn't trust anything but welding... just my .02
