GSR 1.8l Dyno *Skunk2 Pro Series CNC Head*
This is another customers motor i had built by DonF at DFE Enterprises.
Specs:
GSR Block 82mm
ITR pistons
stock Rods and Crank
Skunk2 Pro Series Digital CNC Ported P72 Head
Skunk2 Pro1 Camshafts
Rocket Motorsports Valvetrain
Skunk2 Manifold unported
Skunk2 Pro Series 68mm Throttle Body
SMSP B20 header
NOte the S2 and HRD insignias

Intake Side

DYNO
This is an AVERAGE OF 3 runs. The max it hit was 238BHP. Not bad for the SMSP header. it was probably alot on the big side for this kind of motor. ill let dave elaborate. he has an RMF header, so when i put it in the car, ill see what the header adds to it. shooting for 210-215whp. i might put an SMSP prototype header as well.

For those of you that know, the third column is BSFC ( my dyno reads a little low and likes .400 past peak TQ.) next is oil temp. (not hooked up) and then water temp.

DTA is what Don uses on his engine dyno.
This was done on pump gas.
82mm ITR pistons can be found quite easily from TOPLINE.
on a dynojet its will be between 200-210whp IMO.

LOL
they are the same combustion dome
same size valve reliefs
same MOLY coating
they are ITR pistons, you want to quibble over wether it says HONDA on the box go for it, i could care less
BTW, topline manufactures pistons for honda as well, i have been to their main office and seen shipping invoices for parts going to various GA HONDA dealerships

Thats what I thought, Thanks for clearing it up. Did you sleeve this beast?
Also does topline make head gaskets/seals for honda too? I can get good deals on topline from where I work.(Machine Shop) Is it good stuff or not? I have only used it once and it must be working ok still... Sorry forry getting off topic.
for a good build, and thanks for answering my questions!

i have not used their headgaskets or seals.
PM Bert-O, he will give you great deals on OEM honda stuff, i have found no other reason use other stuff when he offers awesome pricing on OEM honda parts.
I have not confirmed whether or not honda gets their seal and gasket kits from Topline, i do know some pistons go to them, but not rings. honda gets their rings from somewhere else, or they still make them.
The motor is not sleeved. its the biggest safest bore you can go on stock sleeves

i was just thinking about those skunk2 CNC heads the other day. did don flow the head first? i wanted to see what his thoughts were on the head. i saw these things leaving HRD before the announcement was made about them. mike (from HRD) had about 6 of them boxed up being shipped out.
I did not get to flow the head as my "super duper" sliding head plate was not done, still isn't, getting frustrated about that. But the Dyno numbers were very good for Pro1's and "R" pistons, and my shop intake that is just a port match skunk "GSR" The head was probably better than the rest of the motor. I would have liked to run Pro3's and the 12.6-1 Accralite pistons.
The dip in the curve is just tuning, as Mike was here to dyno and pick up 2 engines, time was short. The purple line is oil pressure, basically 80 lbs. and the drop @6500 is VTEC turning on, it should be lower, but I had te Pro2 program in.

Well, it is allready on a motor. But I would expect 352 CFM @ 28 on Endyne's bench. I have HRD,s numbers they seem to match mine and Portflows about 12 % less than Endyn's according to a poster that sent his head to Portflow to get "other" numbers. I guess he is now getting a CNC head done over at R-Morrison, from the link RLZ sent me. I do have some engine dyno comparison's from JG, Skunk, and mine, we are within 2-4 flywheel, depending on time of day.

Prolly 352 after Larry cleans it up a bit
yeah, I got Dave's email about R Morrison ... as usual, you guys are assuming again
