Default RS door handles - part #?

Called local Acura shack about RS handles, they inform me that they are $30.28. Each. ***** that! The three threads returned when I searched on this mentioned a range of $7.50-11.00 for the handles. I'm thinking Mr. Man looked up the wrong part.

Can someone hook me up with the part numbers?

Pat, who is not a n00b, but realizes he sounds like one with this Q

I got my set for about 7 bucks a piece. I'm guessing he looked up the door handles for an RS for the outside of the door. Anyways here are the part numbers.

72125-ST7-023ZA
72165-ST7-023ZA

I don't remember which is for which side...but that shouldn't matter if you order them together...

$7.34 this time, that sounds a lot better. Just sucks that they're out of stock

it covers the power lock switch, as this is an easy entry point for thieves...doesn't make a difference if you have an alarm that activates the power locks or you can relocate the switch to somewhere else

The RS handles cover the power lock switch and for all of you who do have them on your ITRs.. you guys all have alarms that open the locks automatically, right...?? I do too.. so I'm going to look into getting the RS handles also...

Compare the before and after:

and:

Note the original on the right has the power lock switch, and the new RS handle on the right does not . . .

And the part #'s one more time:

Can you just unplug the power door lock switch, or is there some re-wiring required to keep the circuit active?

You mean lose power locks completely? What you could also do (and has been done, I'm sure y0shi could find the pics with his madd search skillz, y0!) is to take the silver plastic tab out. Then you just have a hole there. Hence the RS covers, since they're cheap

If you take out the silver tab just cover the hole with a little sticker that says "F thieves"

Well if you're going to go through the trouble of doing that, make sure to remove the tab so people don't try to break into your car using the tab. Sure your locks won't be unlocked if someone tries to break in, but they'll possibly mess up your window and rubber window gaskets in the process.

not the silver part...if u look inthe the concave part of the handle, theres a tiny black tab, and u pop that out and apparently theres something there u can disable so the silver tab doesnt work...then u pop the black tab back on and it still looks normal, but it doesnt work

reid - altho i dont know if i want thieves trying so i see the point of the RS handles

If you want to retain the use of the power locks just cut off the silver switch and place a peice of grip tape over the stump of the switch. This way there is no ledge for a coat hanger to catch on and by pressing your thumb on the grip tape you can still use the locks. I saw a post with pictures about 6 months agobut I'll try to take some pictures and post them if you cant find it.

Myself and I know D did it also (that is who i got the idea from) used the sun roof switch from a GS/GSR and wired that to the power locks. works like a charm.
