WTF WILLARD what the hell is sodium filled exhaust for??
as of right now with parts we have been thinking of
$8209
Thats without Intake, Header, Exhaust, Spark Plugs, Ignition(Coil+Blaster), New Tranny, Final Gear Set, Stroker Kit
Im going for Crower 2.26L Stroker Kit with 12.5:1 Compression Pistons
NA is Cheaper, and no Turbo Lag
Dont worry i Have a 2000 TypeR with No engine waiting for this project to be completed. K-Series 2.2L Powerd Turboed TypeR

this is true to get an N/a car to yield as much power as a boosted car is very expenisve and not streetable at all for that matter, and there is a limit to what an n/a car will throw down, which is a lot less then a limit of a boosted car, but congrats on the decision let us know how it turns out!!

Post when you actually finish it, instead of just making a decision.

I can speak from experience that n/a is NOT cheaper than boosting!!! You can make an n/a car very fast, but there will always be a boosted car that is faster.

Exactly. It takes a lot of time, knowledge, and most importantly, $$$$$$. Hope you have big pockets!

If I had the money to I would build up an NA setup...just think the car is more suited for an NA build. Definitely not cheaper, though...as far as $ to HP is concerned...but still probably a more respectable way to go because of the work it takes to get some good HP numbers

If you are building for power, then steer clear from SPOON.

Building a reliable turbo car is hard in itself, especially when you're always trying to go faster. Forgive me, but I've only been in close dealing with one turbo R and that was Gordon. He spent alot of money on that damn thing, his NA motors were much better, not faster but better! That's the first car I took over 10k, IMO his(Steve and Gordon) NA motors were alot more fun than the turbo.
If you wanna put good numbers down, turbo wins hands down. IMO like others have said its taking the easy way out. There is nothing better than taking a motor and naturally aspirate 250+hp to the wheels.

saying a high power NA car is more reliable than a properly built turbo car is like saying...
"jenna jameson will date me, im a decent looking guy...."
YOUR WRONG!
turbo may require a little more tweaking and occasional maintenance, here and there
but hands down, NA..puts much more strain on the motor
ask RTW, how reliable NA is?
dont underestimate NA's potential to blow up a motor
