Default austrian-R on a track (pics + vid)

Austrian-R was racing on a track in my town, so it was a pleasure for me to come there and see his R in action. I made some pics and vid that you all like, so here you are:

The track is located about 10 km from my town, Brno in Czech republic:

I don't know exactly what event was it, but Porsches were everywhere:

Some people were not stressed at all:

Ohh, where is my camera looking?

Ferrari's with ceramic brake rotors bigger than austrian's wheels on his R

If your slicks are worn, no problem. Come here and buy a set of brand new 19" 345/xx slicks, everybody knows they are cheap enough

All competitors ready:

Last checking before start:

Let's go boys, who is in the front and who in the back?

It's really simple as saying 1...

...2...

...3

Finally, here is a short vid from the track: http://www.veit.cz/austrian/austrianr.avi

Short indroduction of the track in my stock R: http://www.veit.cz/video/itr_track_dry.avi. I am going pretty slow, my best lap time is 2:47 on street tires, while austrianR was making 2:28's

EDIT: more pics on page 2

Enjoy

Well, from my view, all the Porsche etc. owners looked like VIP's and the best all over the World, so I assume they had to be surprised

I have a 4 piston AP racing brake sytstem which fits under 15inchers. I want to switch to the BIG brake kit to use 17inch rims. Some of the damn Porsches are catching me during braking, I have to solve that problem.

I also noticed that you had to start braking earlier than those bastards. But one of the Porsches was incredible, while all others were starting braking about 100m before the first turn on the finish line, this one continued at top speed and started braking 50m before the turn

In my stock R and street tires, I am doing about 190kph (142mph) on the finish line and I stard braking on the 100m mark and it is about the right time. Assuming that you and he also are doing more than 220-230kph, braking 50m before the turn seems unbelievable to me

yes, at the 100 meter sign I have to brake. I can brake a bit later before each curve, but the brake pedal is getting longer then, so I am only braking about 90% of the brake systems capacity to get not into fading problems. I am selling all my 15inch rims and the AP System. I am switching to a Brembo or the bigger AP system. The Brembo has 32mm thick rotor while the ap has only 28mm. Also the Bembo offers slooted discs which I prefer over the drilled discs.

Plus lightened titanium hamster wheel of course.
