nice build up, but i might suggest that if you plan on leaving the upper timing cover off, that you also remove the lower timing cover. If you dont, and something happens to fall into it, you can kiss the engine good bye. If you remove the timing cover, anything that falls down there will fall right out the bottom.

run both or none at all. just my $.02

Upper timing belt cover will be put on. I still have to degree the cams according to Toda spec sheet.

Not finished yet. That is why the fluidampr crank pulley has the 3 bolts on it for the degree wheel. Need to install the alternator and bracket so I can mount the pointer for the degree wheel.

Waiting for the rest of my degreeing tool kit

Looks very nice! So clean! Are you going to consider going with different management system? Vafc and 12.5:1 compression is kinda pushing it..no?

Yes, go for a chipped ECU that will allow you to run a Crome or Uberdata. They cost far less than a VAFC, and work a hell of a lot better.

Would like to use a engine management system like crome, uberdata, hondata, aem, etc. Only thing is that we do not have any (none at all) who are qualified tuning engine management systems here. Basically no tuner shop.

People do use them like AEM, Zdyne, Hondata KPro, etc. Basically they just run of the base maps provided and just play with it. I'm sure they get some help online, but not very efficient. Most done even use a wideband o2 sensor.

That is why I run a rechipped ecu and vtec controller and innovate wideband o2.

I live on Guam, USA which is a territory of the US in the Pacific (tiny island, dot on the world map). Luckily we have a dyno and a drag strip. Dyno has not been in operation for like 2 years. Previous owner passed on who had a small shop, no one has picked it up yet. Currently there is a prospective buyer who has made a deposit and we hope it will be up by the end of the year. Dyno is a DynoJet 248, in ground.

Will be running on race fuel. 100 octane unleaded, though running out. Was being sold by 76 gas station, but have stopped. Shell gas station selling VP race fuels, but currently on VP C12 108 octone leaded fuel. If we run out of the 100 octane unleaded, then I will be on a mixture of 91 pump and VP C12. I'll just stock up on some O2 sensors for the long run.

One possible route with engine management is that I use Emanage Ultimate or HKS FCon VPro.

We are only 3 1/2 half hours flight away from Japan and I have relations with many tuner companies in Japan.

I could have them tune a vehicle with similar setup there and run the same programming here. During there vacation trip to our tropical island, we can refine the tuning on the dyno (hopefully up and running soon).

Given my circumstances, if you guys have any ideas regarding a way I can run other engine management system. Please provide your thoughts.

Now before you just list things like run crome, uberdata, etc. Read post above regarding my current predicament.

For example, is it possible to run aem, hondata, etc., get a programming, run it on the dyno, get dyno sheet, and then have a qualified tuner remap it based on the dyno run and send me another program.

It would be best for something like aem where files can be sent electronically. Better than chips where we have to mail it out.

Is it possible or would there be too many other factors that would make it very difficult.

Thoughts appreciated.
