4 door ITR in US?
I spent hours arguing with my coworker yesterday over the fact that there is no such thing as a 4dr itr. I said that I didn't know about in Japan, but I was pretty darn sure that we didn't have one in the states. He says that his friend has one here in town. How can I prove to him that this guy is full of sh*t???
and someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

so unless it's right hand drive, it's a fake? or I guess it could have been converted?
what's the best way to tell?
*sorry for the dumb questions*

Yeah itd be right hand drive, but you could if you really wanted to take a 4-door US integra and Type R it all out, itd be pointless and you could prob get a Japanese one for less but its still possible.

you could but it stll wouldn't be a type R, it wouldn't have any of the chassis and frame reinforcements that all type Rs have, and that stop all non-ITRs from ever fully being able to become one.

There is no such thing as a "converted" Type R, either it is one or it isn't, you can't make one
Converted = Fake

You're right, you can't make it an ITR but you can always make the chassis better than one.
To answer the original posters question, no there were not any 4dr ITR's in the US.

you could, but that would be the same as the above mentioned where you would just "Type-R" it out. The VIN number would state the car was...otherwise. AUTOgirl, there's a few other things to look for too if it really was a 4-door ITR. Aside from it being RHD and with all the faux cf trim ( 4 or 5 lug depending on the year of the model ), look for the front end
If it has 4 circle headlights....yea...the guy's full of it.
On a side note....someone in my area told me that some guy is claiming to have a LHD DC5 Type R and the proof was that the V.I.N plate on the dash read "DC5R". Yea...I called BS on that too

Yes but you still wouldn't have the corroect JH4DC231 VIN and also you wouldn't have an OEM badge number.
