96 JDM ITR 4 lug to 98 Spec swap questions
I have a 96 DB8 ITR (4x114.3, of course) and want to know what parts I need for a 98 spec 5 lug swap. Surely I can use some of the 96 spec suspension, right ?
I know the axles are the same, and I believe the calipers are not. Hubs of course are a given. Just need a list of parts so I don't have to buy the whole swap, since they are pricey. Thanks in advance!

You will need axles as the 98 spec uses the 36mm hubs as opposed to the 32mm hubs of the other setup. It'll end up being cheaper and easier to buy the complete setup and then sell what you have.
96 Spec JDM is 32mm? I thought both 96 and 98 were 36mm. If the 96 spec is 32mm, then how would I modify the splines to 36?
Edit: Seems the 96 is infact 32mm and a lot of people have used a 98 prelude outer on the 32mm inner. Will this work?

"JDM 98" is 36, USDM 98 5 lug is still the 32.

Yes, but 96 spec is also 32mm, correct? I was previously under the thought that it was 36.

If you just want the bigger brakes, you could also source front calipers from a 98spec ITR and front 4x114.4 11' rotors from a 93-96 VTEC Prelude. I'm not sure about the rears though.

And you're also going to need the Prelude calipers, pads, backets and rotors.
You are also going to have a little clearance issue with the callipers, but you can get a 2mm spacer between the bracktet and spindle to fix that. Correct me if I'm wrong

You silly goobers and your 4x114.3 setups. You may want to consider swapping everything over to 5-lug anyway, since it seems like the number of wheels available in the proper bolt pattern and offset are pretty slim.

Not the rotors. And by spindle ( usually I use that term if I'm talking about the rear hub ), if you meant for the fronts, between the knucle assembly and the caliper bracket....yes you are correct. You can even use the prelude rear calipers and they will fit fine with no modification or spacers
I used 98 and up prelude type SH calipers....fronts and rears.
