Bend the AC lines slightly...
Note: Slightly!

I am guessing you done this, so it clears fine no rubbage at all?

Suppose I bend them too much, would I be ******* anything up?

Ok. I may sound a bit dumb, but I'll ask anyways. Where the hell is the AC line located? What part of the AEM pipe is the AC line near? And how will I know if its rubbing or not?

Uh, no... What has worked for many H/T members is cutting a piece of hose lengthwise and placing it over the A/C lines so it acts as a barrier between the CAI and A/C. Keep the hose in place with zip ties.

HTH...

I've had my CAI on for about 6 months now. This has worked perfectly!

Is it possible that line is routed like that only on previous year Integras??? Because on my '98, the only lines that touch (which may very well be the AC lines I believe) are wrapped in a nice foam, so there's no way I'd ever rub through anything.

My AEM rubbed my A/C line to where it made a 2cm hole and leaked out all my refrigerant. With my new A/C line, I bent it slightly so that it doesn't touch.

yeah... I'm seeing an obvious installation error... or 20.... I have installed about 20 AEM CAI's on Integras, Civics, and Preludes.... none of them rubbed when properly installed. Never had to rig up a "cushion" or "barrier" of any kind to prevent rubbing. Please go over your installation again and re-read your instructions... you are not doing something right.

Basically, it depends on the pipe that's connected to the t/b. If it rubs, move it up a bit and retighten.

I'm not saying that mine would have rubbed. I put the hose in there for "better to be safe than sorry" purposes. I checked out posts and heard what people had to deal with; there was about a 2cm clearance between the CAI and A/C lines post install. Didn't want them to rub under engine vibration...

Cheap solution to a possibly expensive problem...

Agreed; I'm thinking the people that have that problem didn't replace their metal lines that are attached together with the hoses supplied with the kit...that might cause some serious rubbing. But the hoses that are supplied to replace these, you can stick them wherever and they wouldn't cause any rubbing. I'm running out of hoses to identify around my AEM...

I had a cheap *** ractive cai, it was rubbing pretty bad. I didnt notice it until i took off the cold air extension and saw what was happening. A few more miles and I would have had a hole right through it.

Ooooh, so you've got a **** box now too. just kidding with ya. whats your honest opinion of it (quality & performance) as opposed to the aem cai? i know several ice box users that would trade it for an aem cai anyday.

No trouble here!

BTW, you are supposed to replace the two metal tubes with the two black rubber hoses AEM gives you with the kit. 'Course, I didn't realize this until someone else pointed it out to me...so you're not alone in this.
