Default ATTN: Wilwood caliper users

I have heard from a friend of mine (who is very experienced with suspensions and brakes) that the Wilwood calipers doesn't have a streetable piston seal and will eventually require rebuilding after a year or so. I do drive through winter sometimes so crap do get to the calipers.

Here's the question... does anyone here use the Wilwood Superlites on the street? I am debating whether I should go for Fastbrakes Wilwood kit, but I fear that it will require rebuilding.

...if that is a problem, look at these with dust boots:

i have the billet dynalites. I don't drive the car in the rain or through the winter though(mainly nice weather street and road course use). You're right though, they do not have dust seals, and would need to be rebuilt every so often if they're exposed to adverse conditions. I'd look into something else if they are going to be used on a daily driver for all around street use. Just my thoughts.

no dust seal. my old teg was a daily driver. my old dynalite 2's seized up in one caliper with all the winter/autumn filth that accumulated within because i just didn't have the time to clean everything every week. my fault for thinking it was a cheap solution to spoon calipers... and the fact that not everyone mades pads that will fit a wilwood caliper didn't help either

now i have spoon calipers on my itr and i've survived my first winter with no real problems to report.... i know people who do both track days and daily driver routine for the last 3-4 years and haven't had to rebuild yet... hopefully i'll be okay
