Is this the throwout bearing or input shaft...?
Loud grinding noise coming from the tranny..Almost sounds like a airplane or some **** ..Goes away when the clutch is pushed down..
I searched and some say its the input shaft bearing..others say its the throwout bearing..I need a certain answer..
Also I changed the spark plugs today and there's a shitload of oil in 3 of the cylinders..Anyone know about this??..(B16a motor)

I'd say bad piston rings caused the oil to get into your firing chambers.
Input shaft or clutch release bearing, both are pretty easy to change out. Clutch release being way easier. Just spin the clutch release when you take off the tranny. If it clicks, it's bad. If not, you have to take off the casing and replace the input shaft bearing. Not hard, just time consuming.
I had to replace my input shaft bearing about two weeks ago. I just changed all of the bearings, cleaned each gear with a q-tip and oil, and hot tanked the casings. Came out really nice. Now my second gear grind is gone.
Just take your time and label your parts.

If the noise goes away when you push the clutch [this is when your transmission stops turning and your throw out bearing starts turning], then it is a bearing that is inside the transmission. You need to change this ASAP before the bearing comes apart. This happened to me and destroyed the clutch housing.

Damn,,that sucks..I guess its My own fault for changing the clutch and not changing any of the bearings while everything was apart..

I have this same problem and am going to attempt to do it take it apart with a friend. Once i take apart the transmission housing what will i need to replace other then the input shaft bearings? Are there any parts that are not replaceable when i remove and open that i should have in hand to replace when rebuilding?
Where can i find the best deal on a Helm's manual?

I like to replace all the rubber on the tranny and the pickup magnet while I have it apart. If you're going to completely disassemble it, I would also replace the oil guides if they look like they've been overheated and/or discolored [they're plastic, and should still be white and not warped looking]. Spin all the other bearings while you're in there and make sure none of the other ones are making noise.

Open the tranny up, remove the bearing, and measure it's ID, OD, and height in millimeters. Now go to http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org and look at the different trannies [sometimes 90-91 differs from 92-93] and find the bearing with the right dimensions. If you have trouble, call the number on the website and they can help you.
