Best cam for stock JDM b18c with 10.6 compression (stock)
Best cam to use on my stock JDM b18c, will upgrade valve springs/retainers also. Focus on quarter mile, will rev to 9000rpm.

well it depends on really what you want!! if your looking for your motor to last like 50k i would go with ctr's. plus i have seen in many dyno's where the ctr's absolutly kill almost every cam in the midrange. i personally got some skunk2 stage1's for the carb exemption but i have heard lots of good things about: bc3, jun3, toda b's, or the new skunk pro1 cams. but it really all depends on what you want! remember the bigger lumpier cam you get be prepared to replace some parts on the motor because they will wear out like valvetrain parts and etc. good luck with whatever you choose!!
Keen for the best powerband from 6500-9000rpm, i dont care about gains below 6500rpm as down the quarter id never be there.
Im a little worried about these 'mid range' cams like bc3's as they tend to die off over 8000rpm (from dynos ive seen) and down the quarter ill be over 8000rpm bout half the time. i.e Im not interested in big gains at 6000rpm

I would get the bc3+'s...better mid-range power. You will not make power up to 9k with the skunk2 stage 1, bc 3+'s, or ctr's. And your build will not be able to take advantage of the other 2 cams.

I know its going to be lossing power past 8k, but still worth reving to 9k as far as running faster quarters are concerned. So want the cam with best powerband from 6800 ish till 9k. Am going with s2s1's at mo coz i remember seeing a graph where they bet the bc3's after 7500k even tho the BC3's had gains up till 7000rpm over them

What about bc3+ and ctr pistons?
Would that be ok for daily drivin?
sorry if its off topic.

Yeah thats ok for daily driving, as would the S2S1. . .but I opted for S2S1 in this case because it peaked higher than BC3+. His focus is on 1/4 mile but either would be ok for daily driving. There are guys who run stage 2 cams and maybe more aggressive everyday.
Whats considered less aggressive out of S2 pro1's and S2S2 cams?
Im now thinking about getting one of these for the fact that they'l give me what i need up to 9k, and if im not happy with the power can always slap some itr pistons in there.
Will i have any issues with a stage 2 cam and clearance with stock pistons? i.e will i need to clay it?
