**Got the beater back from paint! 96 EK...any other color would be uncivilized. no 56k love**
so these before pics were taken on the 15th of Sept. 04, almost one year ago. if i had a garage or a place to spray, she would have been flat black a while ago. THANK GOD i didnt spray rustoleum all over her.
so its my girls car/daily driver. came with the stock front with both bumpers sprayed painted black[ruined perfectley good midori]. also came with a blue si front minus the hood. bought a white hood, painted the front flat black with a wagner
. next thing i know im filling all the dings with evercoat. was rolling around midori/gray primer/flat black for the longest time
.
so my friend is back in town from Vegas, his uncle owns a top-notch bodyshop, so he gave him a call for me. i prep it, he justs masks and sprays, i sand and buff after. dropped it off friday the 26th. told would be one week. got a call friday the 2nd, went down to the shop to see that the dupont had a chemical reaction with the flat black
. so he had to sand the front, primer the whole thing, and respray it.
came out better then i ever imagined this car would look. i feel all warm and fuzzy inside

these wheels were the most pain in the *** project i ever undertook. over 100 hours of work because im a newbie to polishing. i fucked up on the first two and had to strip and repaint.
this is my first thread in the Appearance forum. thanks for all the compliments. i learned to polish wheels, and do bodywork/paint prep right here on H-T
much love
