Vanity plates are not a good idea IMO. They make your tag too easy to remember. If you ever cut someone off unintentionally, flip the bird, drive aggressively, speed in a school/hospital zone or elsewhere - your very convenient id will follow you - and beside that thieves will have an easier time remembering your tag and tracking down where you live.....not to mention the cops.
Besides Richard Simmons (the flaming exercise guru) made them initially popular in the <u>80s</u> with his YRUFAT plate. Then there was that really really lame game show that had personalized plates - so cheesy I cannot begin to describe it.
Putting a vanity tag on your car screams out "self esteem issue - look at me!" to most people. Putting one on an R (which is already a very ostentatious car) is asking for trouble.
Go ahead if you want - but I think they suck.
Stealth is much much wiser.

I'm not too worried about the car being traced to my house the plate leads to a house over 40miles away and second I have the only PY ITR in / atleast in my area third I could care less if they try to follow me cause i would like to see someone catch me in their POS and if they do well I would be shocked and go down fighting!!!! 
But the cop factor is not too much different cause like i said how many PY ITRs do you see/ that has a bad side to i'm the only one with the plate but i usally stay with in the law except for the high speeds and e-brake turns

I've never liked vanity plates really - but I got some for the R. I wanted it to be low-key and just used the number of my R - A simple, clean numeric plate that has meaning.

ITR-0000 = 3 letters, 4 digit which is the standard in PA.
I'll go for a DARE license plate I think...

I want to do that, but I can't...
