What cat length will fit with JDM 4-1 header on 00gsr??

if iam plan to order from web. and bolt on from home. and most muffer shop in here says they dont so that. cause its not regal or whatever

 

Not sure how long it was, but I used a carsound 2.5" high flow cat. That was with an apexi n1 exhaust

 

the length from my jdm 4-1 header to a usdm length b-pipe on my 2000 gsr is 17"

order it from username's kteller8 (www.kteller.com) or smsp (smsproducts.com). They can make you a custom carsound cat with 2.5" flanges and o2 bungs for any application, they will know exactly what you need if you tell them you need a cat to mate a JDM ITR 4-1 with a 00 GSR exhaust. If I were to guess, I would think the cat they send you will be in the 14 inch range, since the JDM 4-1 collector is pretty long, and the regular cat is around 17 inches.

The '94-'99 GS-R needs a 12" cat (see picure below) when using the JDM OEM ITR 4-1 header.

 

hey bert is it exactly 12" because in you pic it looks a shy short from 12. Hows the fitment on the one you have right now because ive read that some people say its 11" and others say 13"?

The actually measurement on my cat is exactly 11-13/16" (so 3/16" shy of exactly 12"). But I have inquired into the exact length of the JDM ITR cat and it is exactly 12" long.

The fitment of my cat was perfect (ie. no fitment issue whatsoever). The cat slipped right into place.

how low does the header hang is it really that much lower than a stock gsr header???

 

i'd get the omniman adjustable test pipe. about same price as a carsound too

I measured the ground clearance of the stock header and then the ground clearance of the JDM ITR 4-1 header and the JDM ITR header was on lower by 3/8" (which isn't much at all).

seems like its for 94-99 integra GSR's. anyone sure for 00 GSR??
