Default ATTN: Members needing shims for Prelude LMA's.

I have had a lot of people contact me regarding the washers I have found to use as shims for using the Prelude LMA's in B-series vtec heads. I have already sent out 5-6 sets of washers.

It would be a tremendous help if those of you who still need washers to post here and if those of you who have received washers from me and are running them it would be nice if you could give others some feedback in this thread.

If any of you are not familiar with this then here is the original thread for reference:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=566420

I am not selling these washers so mods please don't get the wrong idea. I have simply expressed in the above mentioned thread that I had found washers that would work for this application and when people had trouble finding them they started contacting me for help so that is what I am doing.

I am currently waiting on another supply of washers and have 3-4 members waiting on them but I am more than happy to help any of you out that are wanting to run the Prelude LMA's but are having trouble locating proper shims.

Thanks guys, happy motoring.

Must have sent out at least 12-15 sets by now with no complaints of running these coupled with the Prelude LMA's.

i found some washers that fit at advanced auto parts. i just borrowed the caliper they had there and went through there bolts bin till i found a washer that was the correct diameter and .040 thick.

if anyone is having trouble, i suggest getting ahold of a caliper (digital preferably) and going to somewhere that has a nice selection bolt ben. sears hardware usually has a nice bolt ben, so does home depot and/or lowes.

Good info, I am glad to see that people are finding the right washer. Out of curiosity what size was the washer? What was the size described in the bin, i.e. 1/4 inch stainless steel washer, etc...?

I may have some for you but I think I am going to try and find a better micrometer or dial caliper this weekend because I am not 100% comfortable with the way the one I have is reading.

I'll contact you when I get some in and I can get them sent out to you.

I've started a list in the first post of those that still need the washers. If you are not on it and would like to be just let me know.

Got some more washers and a new digital caliper. I will measure some washers this weekend and start mailing them on Monday or Tuesday.

I'll PM those on the list for your address.
