B20 nonvtec crower 404 dyno
ok completely stock b20z motor with crower 404-2 cams rocket valvesprings skunk2 intake manifold buddy club cam gears set at +2,-2 IHE
runs were made in 3rd tuned for fuel and cam timing. ignition timing mostly got me no where. A/F was roughly 13:1-13.5:1
bottom 2 lines say:
run 9 blue 90.3 degrees 28% humidity sae 1.0
164 whp 129.45 (im callin it 130 since i got 130.3 in 4th gear) wtq
run 1 red 91.5 degrees 28% humidity sae 1.0
157 hp 123.5 tq
pretty good numbers i think for stock compression. i would say that cams made 20hp over stock b20 cams.

i feel that i should add that i didnt really make any peak power with ingition or cam gears, theres deff more power to be had in this motor if it was tuned by a pro. i was at 164.5 after only fuel tuning

nice #'s. how is the pull because im bored with my 403's in my ls(148whp) and am thinking about the 404's?
are you also on stock rod bolts?

Not bad. Cam timing and ignition timing did me no good either. All my power cam from fuel tuning.
If that is on stock compression, imagine what some pistons and a lil head work would do!
Good stuff.
it is on stock compression, heads never been off this motor. and yes i am thinking about what higher compression would do.
although the numbers arent huge or anything i think for the money its a good way to go. got the motor for 1k cams for 350 and vtrain for 175 the rest is bolt ons youd put in any motor.
notice theres no monster dip in my tq curve at ~4k like alot of non vtec dynos you nee its the skunk2 manifold

anyone have any suggestions regarding tq? i would have liked to see another 5-10 ft/lb. i do plan on remaking my header, it is leaking a bit but i dont think thats robbing 10 ft/lbs
just from viewing old dyno sheets of b20's with stock cr they seem to be higher than mine (tq wise)

makes sense, these are in reality rather large cams (for stock CR and only 1 cam lobe). i bet i lost peak tq and power below 5k with em..

What bolt-on's do you have???
Also have you compression tested your engine to make sure no cylinders are off, that could explain the 5lbs your looking for.
Otherwise it's good numbers, maybe more tuning and it would help you out a bit, but the main reason why your not seeing the higher numbers that your used to with other dyno's is because of your lower compression, although it's nothing to be upset about.
Good work

403's, tuned, I/h/e, no cat, 2.5" header back...
