Milano Red Paint
For those of you with Milano Red paint. Any ideas on how to restore spots that are faded without having them painted? Any products/polishes ect.? Any advice is greatly apreciated!
when I had my 94 mr red teg, I used this stuff called "Z Wax"; I bought it from the a booth at the NY auto show, I also think they sell it in the back of Road&Track magazines.
That worked really well on the faded painted metal surfaces.
Now for the plastic...I used a clay bar followed by a quality wax...it worked for a while, but the pink plastic pieces are a lost cause without repainting

basically depends on how much of the clear coat has been eaten away.
honda paints their red differently than their other colors, so unfourtunatly honda reds turn pink much quicker than other colors fade.
If the clear is gone and it's down to paint, then you can't do much but a repaint

Are you serious? I guess it could move the paint around.

mine is exactly the same thing...ive waxed mine more than enough and the rear quarter panel is turning to pinkish color...specially the hood because of being exposed to the sun...i guess the only way to restore this is just simply to get it repainted...its not actually that bad, unless you look at it during late night..then it shows that they are faded...
I sport the Milano pink as well dangit. I am building the engine before getting it painted, and it will lend quite a bit to the sleeper effect once it is fully built. Plus, I hope that it will be less likely to be stolen. It actually looks good from the side, but all the sun-abuse areas are pink/whitish.
As for the spoiler mentioned above, go buy some Milano Red import paint and clear from you local auto parts store and paint it then clear it, I did my bumpers and they came out pretty good, better than pink.
