That's gay. He gave us a dyno sheet without no discriptions of his engine work.

damn thats real impressive. helping the flow in and out of the motor, plus cams and a tune. and that adds like 35-40 to the wheels. i'm wondering if reducing his exhaust to 2.25 would help his numbers. 2.5 seems a little big for a n/a

^^2.5 is good for him and for the majority of n/a. I know plenty of all motor setups that use a 3 inch to make the most power.

I'm sorry but I find the numbers ridiculously high considering that you're running stock compression and given your mods. Where is this torque coming from exactly?

I don't think you would get the same results on another dyno..just my opinion

yeah i was wondering that too 175ftlbs to the wheels is pretty damn incredible w/ no increase in compression or displacement.

rival12, yeah i think the greddy header is great, gives good power from midrange all the way to redline and the fidanza flywheel lets me rev faster from me.

satan, yeah i was surprised at these #'s too but on the same dyno last year i only did 115whp when i was stock and that was with a really clogged and cracked cat.
other members were dynoing around 140whp and lvsbb6 on this board used this same dyno with his ITB's and JUN3 cams and he only made 206whp...he gets pretty low #'s on the dyno but when i went on it i got these #'s so yeah...i don't know
maybe its my headwork that gives me the power

I've got 7 grand into my all motor build. 99 type sh with raised compression to 11.5 to 1 forged pistons, ge sleeves, full head build and I put down 154 ft lbs torque. Seems fishy to me but if it did put that down congrats. I also only put down 193.5hp so far with the cam timing off on a 93 degree day 65% humidity. Tuner said on a cooler day around 70 degrees it would've made 205 to the wheels!

Pardon my ignorance but I thought only noticeable gains in tq comes from increasing displacement or FI. Am I wrong?

I'm not calling you a liar or anything...i'm talking about the dyno really..just a 175 peak torque is kind of a dead giveaway that the readings aren't right. Especially considering people like to say mustangs read lower than dynojets right...so that's like what 180tq on a dynojet?

I had custom crower cams, 12:1 CR and 89mm bore 2.3L and I pulled 214/171...greddy header etc etc..

Contrast with 2point6.. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1303305 running 2.44L and 12.1 compression making 188.8 WHP on a dynapack which reads higher than dynojets usually..some maybe closer to 180-183 on dynojet

see where I'm coming from? As long as you use the same dyno for your tuning it's all relative..I guess just be prepared for some people to question the numbers..cause they don't seem right at all. I'm sure you're making great power..but not as much as what they are telling you. If you can prove me wrong cool then that's amazing your car is making the same numbers as my previous built motor. Given my motor didn't have a standalone or hondata...but still you can't get that kind of hp/tq on stock CR and displacement IMO

i was surprised at the #'s too satan but oh well im happy with it and the gains from the dyno were impressive too. gaining about 25ft tq in the midrange and what not
maybe ill find another dyno and make a few runs to see what i do on it
