Well after 12 years it finally happens....Impact.
Have been doing this for just over 12 years, plus one year of wheel-to-wheel racing.
My time finally came this past weekend at VIR, turn 11B. Two other cars went off in the same spot this weekend, (One being Lee B. VIR's grid/control director, lost his Gold Gremlin there also... very sad site) my tracks are the ones that arc to the right.
Sometimes you gotta pay to play.

Ain't it the truth! As long as the driver is o.k. to drive (and tune) another day, it's all good. Cars can be fixed or replaced. Good luck

Good luck to you and I hope you will still have many years to go. 1 accident in 12 years is a very good ratio. Take care and good luck, glad to hear you are ok
Those last couple of seconds probably gave you the priceless gift of a zen moment you'll remember for the rest of your life?
As for the car....doesn't look that bad...a little ****, a little dust...<shruggs>....or, instead of a bodyman, find a graphic artist - make it an Art Car.
Scott, who likewise is glad Yack's ok...

Ever crashed or had a bad off on track? I can tell you that, at least for me, hitting something after going off-track is not something you forget or get over easily. It took me 3 full track days before I was comfortable again. And I've probably replayed that event 10,000 times in my head to try and figure out wtf happened and what I could have done to avoid it. and thinking about it while on track can be a bit unsettling. Definitely rattled my cage... hopefully others can just move on immediately....
Anyhoo... jack is a badass **** so none of this applies

Agreed.
That really sucks Jack, but glad to see you're ok. Cars and car parts can always be replaced.

Not on a track but yes on the street. I wasn't implying jump right back out. I'm just saying don't let it stop you from doing what you love

Damn it man. Time to roll freight in H3 with her
Glad you're alright.
Edit to add:
I do think it's odd that you ended up in the same place I went off in my first HPDE. Damn, remember that?
Jason-
who'll bet there's still grass in that old car.

Accidents like these are just part of the risks we just have to swallow everytime we put our daily drivers the track!
I'm glad that Jack walked away unhurt.

Glad to see your ok, I think the car looks better now. Just sign it, put the date, time, location, turn, and everything will be great.
