Is this going to sound like shit?
Ok you guys since I'm low on money I cannot afford a full catback exhaust anymore. I was going to buy the Apex WS exhaust but my bill is high. I want to go cheaper thats why I am going to buy the OBX (Apexi WS style) muffler. Its just the axleback. Will it sound the same or it will sound like ****? Is this a good idea? I might buy it then add 2 1/4 piping. Thanks and heres the link.

OBX is hit or miss. I used an OBX header on my old 90 Integra LS and it seemed to do just as well as most other applications, but as far as an exhaust goes....Eh I dont know. If its cheap enough and you wanna try it, then go for it, but I honestly would recommend saving your cash for a little while longer and getting a good name brand quality exhaust. In the long-run I think you'll be happier with the real Apex rather than a generic brand

OBX is rice? You know you're brilliant, I think I might have to consult you in the future when I'm trying to decide what to get for my car. Have you even had experience with obx catbacks?
My friend had an OBX N1 style catback for 2 years before he had any problems with it. I'd say thats not bad considering the winters here (salt on the roads etc) are pretty harsh on your exhaust and other underbody parts.
Sure, given the choice, I'd pick a real Apexi N1 over the OBX N1, but theres really not that big of a difference. You guys need to learn to not hate so much on stuff you don't even know about.

Not talking about the N1, the N1 is a generic exhaust that everyone makes and to me they all sound like ****. The WS is a chambered muffler and quality made, I wouldnt buy an OBX rip off of that ever. ..

"obx sucks, they are rice".
I realize the N1 can be easily replicated, what I'm saying is, ANY exhaust that lasts 2 years, must mean its halfway decent construction. Meaning, I'm sure if you're on a tight budget, even though its a different model, the OBX ws will do what it has to do for a good amount of time. Thats just my $.02.
I just think "obx sucks, they are rice" is kind of an unintelligent statement. He could've at least backed that statement up with something he knows about the company.

exhaust is an exhaust, they all work the same.
why pay more?
these are the same fools who say to get rotas even though they are replicas.
i mean, why are they for one thing like fake mugen replicas made by rotas, but they arent for the others?
just get it.
u aint gonna feel no differnce performance wise.
but u will feel a big difference in your wallet.
to be honest, the savings outweights the .0001 hp you will get.
who cares what about people say. OBX, so what?
as long as it doesnt have neons lights in it, then ur good.
i paid 230 for my RS-R axle back, and to be honest, my stock muffler sounds better. haha.

my god man! have you not read the horror stories time and time again about OBX?? I would never invest a dime in an OBX product. I doubt there is a single product they make that will not **** up your car (and cost you much more money than you would have saved). And if, by some rare chance it doesn't **** up your car, it WILL not fit properly.

i really cant see how it would f up ur car.
and yes, of course theres a chance it might not fit properly. ur just buying an add on. not the comple cat-back.
i really dont think a cat back is worth it.
kinda like aem cold air vs ebay.
u know?
they all work the same. any hp gain over brand name really isnt worth the money.
i have a custom 3 inch cat back with an RS-R axle back custom welded to fit the 3 inch cat.
works okay.

no no no getting a axle back won't yield any good gains because everything else before that is still stock diamter and restrictive. you should save for a catback and a hiflow cat and if your going all motor a header will help you out evan further its going to be a waste of money to just get an axle back
its a waste if all your exhaust is stock still or a part of it where its going to bottle neck i.e. your stock cat if you get headers-hiflowcat/testipe-catback system you will notice a differance

Oh god, not another one of these. Do you have any experience with OBX products AT ALL? Sure, alot of their stuff is not good. But people give them a horrible wrap, mainly because of all the retarded haters who think they're smart because they heard someone say OBX is **** so they decide to say it too. I've seen numerous OBX products perform well. It shows that sometimes, all you're paying for is a name. Don't get me wrong, alot of it you should just go with something better, but some of their stuff is decent and a hell of alot cheaper than other name brand ****.

who gives a rats donkey cheese what these guys think. Get it if thats what you want. 90% of these guys havent used an OBX exhaust prolly more like 99%. They will only flame it because it isnt the current bandwagon. And about rice? sorry bro but honestly look at years past. its here, jdm is the new rice and I too am a new age ricer
but who gives two cents$
Use your damn head, a damn name isnt going to change the quality, shape, sound that these exhaust weve rocked for so long. Its a damn pipe w/ a resinated muffler. Wanna pay too much for the same thing? go ahead but just like you said, You dont have much money so F' what these guys think.
BTW, ive had one on each of my cars for the past 5 years. I just recently oppted for a 3" kTeller for my turbo setup last year. But id say go for it if its what you want and quit listening to a thousand waisted breaths that have no meaning or knowlege to back up why obx is satin.

Things is... a muffler (axleback) wont do **** for your car. It's not going to sound noticeable deeper. Why? Your stock resonator is still there as is the puny piping. It might get somewhat a little louder but nothing major.
I am not trying to discourage you. Just trying to save you money on something more worthy.

Yeah, I/H/E are a waiste. With modern managment systems and low costs, their is no reason why we arnt all turbo
$1200 would get you a nice kit thats reliable if you price parts right. Now THATS well worth $$ vs HP
(sorry, im a turbo guru)
