thanks alot for the comments. its being bored out to 84mm and i'm installing a b18c crank. i'm going to run 11:1 cp pistons, manley forged rods, erl's five point main girdle, arp head and main stud kit and i'm going to spray 100 shot direct port.
as far as the head just skunk2 stage 2 cams, skunk2 cam gears, valves, springs, and retainers. hoping to post some dyno numbers and track times before the summer ends.

I think its either $1400 or $1450 but thats the box to ship it in and shipping back to erl, sleeves, deckplate which makes it closed deck, cylinder hone, line hone, and acl main bearings. the finished product is beautiful (no seams between the sleeves, and the deck is honed by hand). mine should be done tommorrow besides the cylinder hone because i'm still waiting on my pistons to show up but i will have more pictures tommorrow.

i'm building the motor for revs. generally theres two ways of making horsepower, torque and rpms. the honda b-series aren't really known for there torque like the k24's are. if i was wanting torque i would go that route. also if i went with a b18 stroked with 95mm and reved it to 9500 rpms the pistons speed would be ridiculous. instead to get that little bit more torque i had it bored to 84mm. i guess its all about your personal opinon though.

i always wondered about a setup like this....do you now need 2 head gaskets? how does the deckplate seal to the block? is there any special machiene work that needs to be done to the head....and do you need a longer timing belt? or does a b18 belt fit?

Re: B16A2 with ERL's Superdeck II pictures (sleeper-ek)
all questions welcome. starting with the deckplate; they took measurements of the deckplate dimensions then made a cnc program that takes out just enough material around the sleeves and block for the deckplate to be pressed in. it is an exact fit, pretty amazing. then between the block and deckplate is a head gasket (included in the price) with locktite sealant. you still use your normal head gasket between the deckplate and the head.
i will be running a b18 timing belt and an it-r oil pump (not a must, just doing it for the rpm's i'm want to run) and as far as the head it bolts on just like oem. thats whats so good about erl's superdeck systems.

no, i'm sticking with rods for a b18c. i was thinking about that too but jeff at erl said i can stick with that to save some headache. now if i wanted a custom rod lenghth they can deck the deckplate to whatever height that the customer wants.

You said that you're going to be using a gsr crank... what about rod length?
EDIT: I looked at your post down the page and saw you're using GSR spec rods... you said you want to keep piston speeds down at high revs, but won't this combo put you in the same shoes as just running a b18c block since you're loosing the b16 r/s ratio?
