Stock intake arm with K&N
Mugen JDM header

You're talking about a few HP there, look at the midrange, the B's focking rocked there. I'd take those B's over those A's anyday.

So, that shows the spec A's give you better power and torque in the mid-high powerband, which is ideal for road racing and auto-x, and the spec B's top power at high rpm to red line, ideal for drag racing, am I close?

You pull to redline in Road Racing too. Again, look at that midrange (5-6) on the B's, that'd be fuggen AWESOME for pulling out of hairpins, etc. That few hp the A's gain over the B's isn't going to make that much of a difference IMO.

Toda As:
Toda Bs: (but need more parts if you wanna raise the redline, etc)

Damn my friends car makes 197 to the wheels with type R cams and CTR pistons in a gsr block. Using a gsr head and intake manifold. Why does the hp seem low for such high compression?

You're comparing peak to peak.....

Compare the whole graph here to your buddy's and your jaw will drop. Then your buddy will be trying to decide whether to get A's or B's.....

You can tune the midrange back in the A's to be better than the B's, even at vtec xover. I've seen several dynos where the B's make less power everywhere before 8000rpms, then they start to come on.

Really? I'm betting you could tune the B's to dominate the A's everywhere with that compression.....

Why are you not doing the JUN's? I thought you already had them.

Hey, I'd like to see it. I doubt "dominate" would be the correct term to describe the B's over the A's though

With a better ecu the Bs could make MUCH more midrange than As.
Look at the vtec and how high it is. it could easily make more power.

What kind of tuning will it need to bring more power out of the spec B? More fuel and cam gear?

Yes, both---depending on your engine's needs though.

Tune, tune, and then tune some more.

well hopefully I can pull more out of My B's, SGT is mailing me my hondata, and a basic Toda B chip, untill I can fly him down to fully tune.
