Default How can i tell the width?..

I just got slipstreams and the guy who sold them to me doesn't know the width.
The sticker is pretty much gone so what other way would i find out the width?

15x??

thanks.

Sometimes it's stamped onto the wheel. Otherwise...

The width is measured where the tire bead sits, shown as "wheel width" in the illustration on the Tire Rack website here. So you could just take out a tape measure and measure that dimension on the wheel, if there are no tires already mounted on them.

Note that you DON'T measure the width as the outer dimensions of the wheels. The outer dimensions are usually a good inch or so wider than the specified wheel width.

Try measuring the outer dimensions the best you can (e.g. tape measure going through the wheel spokes) and subtract an inch. It won't necessarily be totally accurate but you have a pretty good chance of hitting it and otherwise it shouldn't be off by more than half an inch.

That's probably the best you can do without removing the tires.

It should be stampled on the inside of the spoke area of the wheel. You can usually find the offset dimension here also. Even with the tire on the rim it will still be visible.

on the back of the wheels it says "rota" "1570" "HT" "500K6" and i think thats about it. I measured it and i think its was 8" ( i think i could of been fooling myself) so i guess its 15x7. Anyone with 15x7, 15x6.5 slipstreams know what it says on the back?

The "1570" number means it is 15x7. This would also be confirmed by the 15x8 measurement from the outside of the wheel.
