Here is my question. Honda financing has the title. I want to be able to ride this thing for the end of the season and not wait 6 weeks for title work. He'll need cash for instant title release which is how im paying. My base to this thread is will Honda do the transfer directly to me when i pay his payoff? Will it go in my name to the state and come back to me w/ my name?
I'm not quite sure exactly how this works. If someone in PA has done this please let me know how it went, and how soon u were able to get legit temporary reg.

when i got my bike from a guy, he had to wait til he got the title from Honda to and he wouldn't let me have it or ride it until the title came. What we did was get something from the DMV, which for some reason i can't remember the name, but it removes liability from him and holds you over till the registration comes.

Or you might be able to carry a bill of sale with you, and explain your case.

My dumbass lost the thing from the DMV, left the bill of sale at my parents house ..i got pulled over a few times, and i just told them i had just boughten it, and waiting for the title from Honda in TX, and i was on my merry way.

they should be able to sign it over to you without sending it to the previous owner, but you should be able to call honda finance up and tell them that your buying a bike and you want to send the money directly to them and that you'd like for them to send you the title. I do know that some banks will do this for you.

Who knows.. guess it depends on how busy they are. Im sure if i had my bank cut me a cashiers check that would speed things up ALOT cuz they aren't gonna let the title go anywhere until the check is clear.

Power Of Attorney-Makes him sign his pen power to me so i can sign for him when i get the title, (i'll basically transfer the bike to me but i'll be him cuz he gave me the power)

Form Of Affidavit- states Before me yadda blah blah who being duly sworn according to law, doth dpose and say I do not wish the title get mailed to me upon payoff of cashiers check # XXXXX issued by WhiteTegSE for bike VIN #XXXXX and it its to only be shipped to the address of the payee, WhiteTegSE
