1.What changes do you have to make wirng wise to put a obd2 motor in a obd1 (Hondata) car .
2. I hear there is a mismatch between JDM transmission and our hubs special axles are needed i hear 93 integra's are quoted but they are not correct
3.My guy says the gearing is wrong for the weight of the crx it would be better to go with a y80 or an ls transmission (easier hookup better gas mileage)
4. Basically I would like to any all issues mechanically to do a perfect swap into a OBD1 (Hondata) Crx that had a d series motor in it. thanks

1) Contact rywire.com for wiring harnesses and they can do all your wiring for you. All you have to do is plug it in and drop the motor in (and depin a few wires.) I'm running OBD1 with my OBD2 distributor and OBD2 plugs and they are wiring everything up for me. If you don't plan on buying from them I'm sure they will at least give you all the info you need on wiring and OBD wiring for each component.
2) I have never heard of a mismatch. But on HF and STD's you will either need Si, CRX DX, or DA hubs. And you can use 90-93 axles on the hydro tranny but you'll need to swap the axles seal on teh drivers side. I've been told you can also use 94+ teg axles, but they are longer so it's up to you. You won't have to change the axle seal, but i believe the DA axles are closer to the ideal length.
3) I know there are a few people running the ITR trannies both with the 4.4 final and 4.7 final. I have a the 4.4 but have to get it on the road (waiting for some more parts), but with 4.7 final drive ratio (98+ spec JDM trannies) you are going to have very short gearing. It has the best acceleration stock, but its up to you and your application how short you wanna go. I definitely wouldn't go for an LS tranny, that is just too long.
4) Search and keep searching, that's pretty much what i've been doing for the last couple years until I was able to get my motor (recently). Mechanically you'll need mounts, shift linkage, and axles for starters. You can really get deep into this or be cheap and take some short cuts. Seeing as you're asking about a c5 I wouldn't spend all that money and then take a lot of cheap routes and replace as much stuff with new stuff as you can

same as any other b-series swap into a crx w/ obd1. prob gonna need to change all the little annoying **** like dist plugs, injector clips, and random harness plugs.

there is a mismatch between the intermediate shaft and the hubs. you will need to use the DA integra axles and intr. shaft. no matter if you use a hydro or cable tranny..USE THE DA'S, THEY RETAIN THE CORRECT LENGTH!

run a ys1 or s1 tranny, im running the jdm s1 which is identical to the old school ctr tranny in gearing. dont worry with the 4.4fd and 16" rims im cruising 120-130kmh @ 4700rpms
plus the acceleration is unbeleivable.
