I need a new clutch...any recommendations
Yesterday on the dyno, my clutchmasters stage 4 let go, and barely limped me home. This was only at 341, so does anyone have any recommendations for a decently priced clutch that can hold power and not greatly sacrifice daily drivablilty?

Re: I need a new clutch...any recommendations (1.8EG-T)
wow everyone seems to be liking act here. Guess I am in the out crowd here. Have ran the ACT HDSS on my old D16, and ran the ACT XTSS on my H22 civic. what I can tell u is I think the HDSS clutch is decent with fair engagement and definately a streetable clutch. Unfortunately not strong enough for your setup.
Now the XTSS I absolutely hate with a passion. The engagment is absolutely stupid. It breaks tires loose grabbing 2nd and 3rd gear and I run LSD and traction bars. I can even break tires loose at idle with a rough engagement if that tells u anything. Not to mention the added stress from such a high shock clutch adds alot of abuse to your drivetrain. have broken 4 axles on drag radials in the last 12 months (3 DSS stage 1s, and 1 Gator Racing axle stage 2). Now I am not saying u will break axles on this clutch. Alot of other factors go into my issues like axle angles and it also being a hybrid and I am not running a D16 so the clutch may be substantially different feel. What I am saying is that this clutch (if its similar to the H22 XTSS) is rough on drivetrain and personally wouldnt look into it for a street clutch. Just my two cents people. I personally like RPS's clutchs. Have driven some RPS 6 puck equipped cars and I can say those things engages smooth and seem to be very streetable and so far very strong and not to mention rated stronger than the equivalent ACT. Personally this is the clutch I would use not to mention the RPS is easier on your leg with a softer pressure plate. check this. good luck man.

That's what I said too, it would be different, but I put the new clutch on when I broke in my motor so it has tops of maybe 2-3k on it...

I will try, but I doubt that it gets resolved.
As the warranty probably doesn't cover such...
