Default Want to mount headunit near cupholders (2000 hatchback)

OK, I searched and came up with a few results...
some of them were for the 96-98's instead of the 99-00
others had retards just saying "just screw it in" or whatever

I just had my whole climate section stolen, so when I get it replace from honda, Im going to leave the block off plate there, and then keep the headunit down by the shifter.
I just wanted to know if any of you audio guru's had a How-To, or at least a link to a how-to...
I just wanted to know if there is any tricks im going to need to know before cutting up that tray. PICTURES would be nice

Get the 96-98 cupholder piece with the din above it. You can slide a headunit in there and screw it on the sides.

just like he said.. get the 96-98 cup holders.. the tray thats in there is held in by 2 screws.. take that out.. the headunit will fit right in, and then just run some small screws into the side of the headunit to hold it to the cup holder bracket..

extend the wires up to your harness and there ya go..

easy i have my dvd player mounted there.. works great

^check out that writeup. Very good place to mount the HU. I actually have mine mounted down there and my stock HU up top still wired and everything to display time.
