whats going on everyone. this turbo was posted about a week ago. im reposting with a price drop. this is a genuine Garret GT28R. Mint Condition. No Shaft Play. Seals are perfect, no leaking whatsoever. One downpipe flange stud was broken in the removal, but is being extracted as we speak. This turbo was given to me by my cousin, who drives a Volkswagon GTI 1.8T, and upgraded to this turbo a little while ago, and just recently dropped on a larger turbo to meet his power goals.

I personally use a GT28R on my gsr, and its a great turbo. Very responsive, spools instanly above 3000. I made 246 whp, 170 lb/ft tq at only 8 psi.

If your goals are for mid-200 hp numbers, at low boost, this is the turbo for you. Remember, size isn't everything.

Isn't the exhaust flange for a GT28r based on the T25 flange and not a T3 flange?

 

its a t28 flange...so essentially its a t25 flange.

im confused as to what this question pertains to about this turbo?

 

The question pertains to what flange would be required to mount the turbo. There are a lot of people who already have a turbo and manifold and are looking to purchase an upgraded turbo.

I have a Full Race T3 manifold which means I can no longer buy this turbo because the flange would have to be changed on my $1100 manifold. While that is possible for some people it is not an option for me or my baby whom I go outside and polish daily.

 

My next check comes at the end of this month. I can try to scrape up enough money to buy before then, but I definitely want this.

Is that internally wastegated? What's it set at?

 

an option would be the atp drop in....t3 flanged...you choose from a series of a/r's....
