F.A.Q.
1. Will it fit Integra brakes?
The VPD 13x7.5 will fit Civic and Integra OEM brake setups.
• 88-91 Civic/CRX: All stock brake setups will clear
• 92-95 Civic: All stock brake setups will clear, even w/ABS
• 96-00 Civic: All stock brake setups will clear, even w/ABS
• 90-01 Integra: GS, RS, LS, GS-R brake setups will work, even w/ABS
Only brake setup that won’t work is ITR calipers.
• Will fit Sentra, Miata and other cars with similar wheel specs.
2. Will the VPDs clear my fenders even if its lowered?
The clearance will depend on the tire size that you are using. Most 22x8x13 setups will clear stock fenders even with lowering springs/coilovers. It is your discretion on how the clearance of the tire/rim combo should be. If using anything bigger than a 24” tall tire, its usually best to raise the car up to near or stock height. Keep in mind you need room to turn the wheel as well and clear the fenders.
3. What is the usual matching tire combo that is best for the VPDs?
The general rule is to keep the slick size about 1” within the width of the rim.
The VPDs are 7.5” width and are most often used with 8” and 8.5” wide slicks. Check the specs of your slicks and look at what rim width it requires. Most common sizes often recommend an 8” width rim for best contact patch. Many have been successful in fitting a 9” wide slick, but you have to be aware that the contact patch may be affected by the rim size on this at a very low tire pressure. We recommend M&H Racemaster slicks for best combo of slicks and rim for our applications.
