jdm climate control sensor question

jdm climate control sensor question
Im in the middle of installing a jdm climate control setup in my car. In my "kit" I received a long 2 piece tube with a white cylinder shaped (with vent openings) piece that has 2 mounting points at the end of the tube. The other end of the tube connects to the in car temp sensor. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the white cylinder piece go's. any info would help, Thanx.

When the hole is made (I used dremel tool to do it) use some silicone or glue to fix the plastic element to the black box.
