Does anybody know the correct spark plugs for the type R ? I think the deal may of put in Gsr plugs in the R.. since I just got off the ngk website and it says the ones they put it are for a GSR.. according to the box they gave me. [ when i asked for my old plugs back ]

JPP, I always thought the ITR uses heat range 7 in NGK plugs, you list it as a 6 , in the plug you list, also the gap is 1.3mm so the plug code should end in a 13 if they are pre-gapped factory plugs. You can use an 11 plug and just gap it to 1.3mm though. .

 

The number I listed is the stock spark plug in the ITR. The gap recommended is definitly 1mm to 1.1mm (as writen under the hood and in the service manual). The B18C1 (GS-R) has a recommended spark plug gap of 1.3 mm.

I need to change the plugs, moving away from Bosch Plat +4. What would you recommend and what about gapping? TIA
