Headlights on the 98+ sit out more, and the grille opening doesnt have a plastic piece through the middle, and the bumper is a one piece unlike the 94-97, which is the bumper and then the bottm lip.

94-97 around the headlights are diffrent, on the 98+ it cut of right at the headlight.
Bumper cover, headlights and the bumper lens (signals) are diffrent. The 98+ just has a newer look in general IMO.

I've seen some nice 94-97's but I prefer the 98+ with type R lip. Here is a before after pics of my car. I really feel the 94-97 front end doesn't look too good on red but looks good on any other color.

94-97 I have no idea what lip that is, it was there when I got the car. (Before)

98+ with Type R lip (After)

my 97 ITR has a 98+ front end, but i cant decide if i wanna go back to 97. i really want to because its a 97 and the rarest one, but i like the 98+ style better. have to decide this winter before she goes in for fresh paint

I'd go back with the 94-97. If you're getting it painted CW again I love the look of a 94-97 with fresh CW paint.

Off topic, but iixerOii, what did you do with that front lip and those fog lights on the Before pics?

I left them at my mechanics too see if he could get someone to buy it off me, since he gets a high traffic of imports

All you need for a 98+ conversion is the bumper itself, 98+ headlights and 98+ corner lights.
