Default Phantom Grip limited slip?

I saw some people talking about this product awhile back on here but I cannot find that thread with the search and it doesn't seem to be in the archive so I figured I'd have to ask about it. My first question is: does it actually work, and how well does it work compared to a real lsd. Second is: is it a reliable product, will it mess up my transmission? and last: how does it work?

Garbage, one hard launch with over 200hp and you're screwed.

I used it. It was okay until I got over 200WHP, then it was useless. I use a Quaife now, much better.

I've never personally used the Phanton grip but have driven a car that did have one. All I can say is I felt absolutely no difference from an open diff. Spend the extra money the first time and get a Quaiffe. I guarantee you will not be dissapointed. A Quaiffe is an investment that keeps giving no matter how much power you have.

Ok thanks for your guy's help and im glad I didnt waste the money, although I really dont feel like spending 800-1200 for an lsd so are there any other options that I have that may be a bit cheaper but still work well?

Remember, you get what you pay for. If you go cheaper, then plan to buy a new tranny down the road.

Honda makes LSD's. I see them on ebay for 200-300. A lot of people have been using the OBX LSD's for 400-500 successfully. Personally I'd save up for a Quaife. I got a good deal on one from Camp1320 and I couldn't be happier with it.
