Biggest Tire will fit on stock SH Wheels
I don't know if the 225 will fit, but my friend has 215/45/16 wrapped around his SH wheels. 225 is pretty wide though, but who knows, it might fit...?
does it look funny????
on my last car (1988 RX7 Turbo II) the stock tire size was 205-55-16. I decided to go wider, and put on a set of 225-50-16. They worked but in my opinion looked funny. from the right angle, you could easily see that the sidewalls appeared to "bow" out, and that the tire tread was actually a bit wider than the wheel....
i personally did not like it. that car was not a real handler anyway, so I never could tell if it handled any better than with the stock size..
I wouldn't do that again. I'd stick to the stock size, or I would get a wider wheel.
otherwise you run the risk that it looks funny.
YMMV.
any pics??
