Default dyno vid and pics. D16Y8

dyno sheet,

here's a video.
http://members.shaw.ca/barcher/BrentsDyno.wmv
not the best video, but hey its my first time making a video.
car is a 96 civic Si (canadian)
i built the setup, the intercooler core i had was too big so i ended up ghetto mounting a 2g dsm sidemount i had kicking around.

its half diy and half professionally built. heh.

i put my intercooler in the same place... it was more of a air-heater when i had it there. I had the same DSM SMIC also. still thats nice power on a mustang dyno

Nice numbers! I'm assuming stock internals? As long as that IC isn't permanent you look good to go.

i plan on swapping the intercooler out asap.
like i said the core i was building end tanks for was too big.
i'm a welder by trade so i dunno if it classifies as hmt really, other than the ghetto intercooler placement.

yup because i'm canadian. the 96-00 civic Si here is the same as the EX in the states.

that power was put down at 10psi

stock internals, so i didn't want to pop the motor by going any higher

Hrm, Tq numbers seem a little off.
Here is a good repository of Turbo D dynos to compare against:

i think that could be due to heat soak. considering it looks like a stock radiator, SMIC under the hood, and an equal length manifold thats unwraped, i bet those underhood temps are really really high. good to see you want to change that intercooler, i would also look into a dual core radiator, or a delsol vtec radiator to get alittle more volume of heat transfer. otherwise everything looks good, and great numbers. i made 184hp, and 154tq untuned, at 9lbs, with bad heat soak. tuned, it vented the hood, and got a bigger radiator, and the car felt 10x's faster.

that was after tuning. but we tuned it very conservatively because of the stock internals.
the d internals like to let go above 220, so i wanted to keep it around 200, i exceeded my goals, so i'm happy.
i also didn't push it into the redline too much, but as you can see from the graph the numbers were still climbing when i let off.

yeah, it was majorly heatsoaked, i was considering putting ice on top of the intercooler for the tuning but forgot to grab some on my way in.

from what i can tell the lower o2 is a wideband correct? how far downstream is that? plx told me they reccomend atleast 2 feet downstream for placing my wideband because of temp issues, have you had any probs with the wbo2 sensor/how long have you been running it?

second o2 is a wideband yes, its about 15 or 16" downstream. no problems yet. i couldn't really go any farther down without worrying about it.

the turbo is a T3/T04E .48A/R / 60 trim
