its actually funny how it happened....... i just burned provo canyon all day today avg speed 130mph.... i go to work, honda motorcycle dealership (my day off) to show the results of my rubber after being abused all day (gumballs, bluing to the edge on dunlop d218's) so anyway one of our techs is practicing for a trials competition and riding over everything from crates to tires. so hes doing circles about 1-2mph in the parking lot to practice. so im like "hey im a advanced rider let me try with my 600rr!" ummm WRONG! i start to get into a circle right behind him and BAM! down it falls. bends my gear selector,scratches my case cover, bends the mounting bracket conecting the lower to mid fairing right in front of the case cover, and breaks the bar end inside the clip on. god i can be so retarded sometimes.... well atleast i didnt wreck in the canyon today.... go ahead and flame... i need it for being dumb

I think what hes saying is that since he was being an *** it was expected that something would happen and it did. Therefore not ironic?

I guess it is a little ironic though that he was ripping through the canyons at "130" and ended up crashing going 1mph in a parking lot.

Of course most of us will ride fast, I'll be the first to admit it... but don't wear it like a badge of courage, or a measure of your manhood. Most of us that have been riding for many many years do not need to expound on whats happening when we go out riding, it is a given. doing so only makes things worse, and gets people going in a direction that is not positive. the "Hey look at me" syndrome is the crypt of the newbie.

 

Sorry dude but I have to say. It shows a level of experience of the rider who can do full-lock figure 8's all day lone with no problem compared to the guy who can go 130 in a canyon. It's more impressive seeing a rider at slow speed with perfect control of their bike. Keep practicing and maybe you won't drop it next time. And maybe pay for a track day so you can push the limits in a controlled enviroment.
