Default My Lil Weekend DIY (polished lips)

Finally took the time to get a set of wheels i had laying around up to decent shape. Wheels are a set of 15" racing Sparco NS2's i got for 450 locally (this is my 2nd set that i own BTW). Lips were pretty much jacked as far as having any kind of clearcoat or polished looked to them at all.
Here are the steps i took to get my achieved look.
1.cleaned and stripped wheels of paint and clear coat (aircraft stripper to the rescue).
2.Wetsanded wheels with 320 grit sandpaper
3.wetsanded again with 1000 grit
4. applied Mothers Mag wheel polish and wiped off.

OK here is the Pics off the Final wheel that was done...

here is the before pic (don't look to flashy does it???)

Here it is after the 320 grit

Here it is after the 1000 grit (reflection starting to come out)

here it is polish applied (getting close)

Here is the end result

from start to finish total took about 2 hours (for 1 wheel, not including the time it took to strip the paint/clearcoat from it). i'm sure with a lil bit more polish the wheel will get alot more sheen. thank for looking and hope this helps anyone thats looking to do this themselves.

take some pictures from a bit farther back. I want to see the whole lip. What are you using to protect it from getting damaged again. Clearcoat or anything?

not sure what im going to use yet to proitect them. i just got them done this weekend. i still have to finish a few small details (rims are down to bare metal and are going in for a color change). tires have to be mounted and not to mention i have a swap in the works. everything in due time....full pic will come later.

Werd... do mine My 18/19" wheels can use them. They only have a 2.5" and 4" lip so it's just a little bit more work for yah
