Default Header Comparison: RMF Vs. SMSP JDM H22a Euro R

About to swap in a JDM Euro R H22a in my 97 BB6 and Ive been trying to figure out which is the best header for this motor. Talking to people I broke it down to these two and any information would be greatly appreciated. Yes I searched no need to post a search button. H series comparisons didnt include the RMF in it so Im asking here. I dont post at all because I dont have the time to get involved in too much techy jargon chat so spare the newbie replies. Im the original owner of the 97 lude bought in Dec 96. Please only useful information, thanks!

there both great headers. it all depends on your setup. if u "SEARCHED" the all motor forum there have been a couple header test. But like stated earlier it depends on setup. On setup "A" the rmf might be better but on setup "B" the smsp might be better.

^Thanks for the reply. Actually the one in the all motors forum was for B series motors. Simple setup for me actually would be basic bolt-ons, cams, possibly port and polish the head.(for now)

SMSP has been dyno-proven to work very well on stock or modified H22, I have already ordered mine without hesitation.

Ive yet seen any dyno graphs of the RMF on H22, I believe a few members already received theirs though. Hopefully we can see some dynos soon.

search. this guy went from 174whp untuned to 200whp vafc tuned with smsp:
http://www.preludeonline.com/s...82417

still havent seen convincing rmf dynos yet. but it looks like a quality header.

let us know how the swap turns out. i did the same swap but still havent put on the IM yet... didnt want to bother modding it and didnt want to odb1 swap either

Yea the SMSP looks very impressive but I would still like to check out how the RMF does on an H22 especially since it was the best for the B motors.

^^here we go....i think we should impose a block on header comparison threads, either the dynos are already on this website, or nobody can say for sure...

its all speculation without dyno proof...

Here's a link to a topic of the RMF header - guy had a fifth gen - just installed - it says 6-10-2005.....so it was very recent....how come you didn't post there?...oh well....here's the link...IMO the RMF header is damn sexy - he doesn't have dyno post up yet....

This header is custom built for my specification so it should be good.
In case you haven't noticed the flared collector, its actually a 2.75"

I think your refering to the ID at the end of the transition, the collector outlet looks to be 2.0-2.25
