As for going to MAM for a one day event from NYC, I also don't think so.

wow Y are all u guys so god damn crabby. he posts about a track event at mid America where expo was just held (that's how it's ITR related BTW) because he knows there is no way any of us would find out about it without him doing so. give the guy a break. its not like this is a totally worthless noob post. it actually has some importance

Would you suggest this gets moved to RR/AX?

It's the same as George posting up Hyperfest, or any other NASA/who's going, or SpeedTrialUSA posting up about Milwaukee Mile event.

I for one, appreciate these posts, but it is kindof a long drive to MAM. I'll be back someday.

Pretty much, and I don't care for those posts either. One main difference between their post & this post is that George or other thread starter own an ITR and knows that there are other ITRs already participating. This particular thread starter is randomly posting an event to attract more participants at the last minute. That is how it comes across to me.

I wouldn't have mind the post if it didn't read "Expo 6.1". What now? Everything track events related has Expo title even though it's got nothing to do with it? (i.e. Expo 6.3: Beaverun Event... it's expo related, 'cuz it was held their last year & 2 years ago?!? )

I agree, the title is misleading, and the owner doesn't have an ITR. But sometimes this is the only way I hear of "oddball" events, such as the one at Mke Mile.

I also agree it's the "wrong forum" for these messages, but I'm never in the Meets forum, and I don't see EVERY post in the RR/AX forum. So, I guess I agree on all counts, except I DO appreciate them being posted here.

i would consider going. a typical SCCA test day costs $200 at MAM, so $125 for a whole day is a pretty solid deal.

can you tell me when this event is taking place? i don't see anything on the link posted.
