I actually need the fitting size. It looks like an inverted flare. I know someone knows this..

I'm not planning on reusing any of the stock fuel lines. I need to connect the hard line to a -6 hose. The fitting I'm questioning is the one on the end of the hard line on the fire wall.

AN-6 didn't fit... Take a look at my 91 SI HB's fitting. I may need to cut it off and use a different flare fitting. Any help would be much appriciated.
Whats up with the straight section berfore the threads?

Bump for alternatives. I'm going to cut the end of the tube off. What type of flare fitting should I use? I have a flaring tool.
i will take a pic of mine later, i did not cut it ...i know the flare is the diff. but it sealed with no leaks. did you try to thread the -6 on to it ?

Interesting, I want to see what happens.

Yes, it barley cought the first thread on the AN fitting. I honestly think I will have to cut this fitting off and re-flare it with a proper fitting.
Well I ran into this delema a few years ago and came up with this.

It's a custom made -6AN on one side and a 5/16" swagelok hard line adaptor.
I have one left I'll sell for $30 shipped.

Yup.
I plan to cut the hard line on the cabin side, attach the swedge-lok, then use a nice 90 degree bulkhead fitting.
The only downside is this is a non-swivel fitting, so getting the bulkhead aligned is going to be an issue.

The thread may be close enough, but I would not trust it's ability to hold pressure. AN fittings use a 37 degree angle to seal, his AN setup would be using the threads to seal. A straight thread is not a reliable seal for fuel fittings.
The Swedge-loks are very well designed. I have faith that it will work.

I originally had posted the size of the hard line as 13mm..
I made a mistake when measuring this as I had the calipers
too tight and was measuring inside the threads instead of
the exterior diameter of the fitting. Missed it by a millimeter...
Sorry for the mis-info...
The correct size should be 14mm X 1.5mm pitch..

I was hoping to convert my stock inlet and return lines to accept my aftermarket fuel line AN fittings, is there any simple/easy approach to doing this? I am not familiar with flaring at all....but I can learn.

Hey man, i made a thread about this recently. The stock EF hardline isnt straight for long enough to use the tube nut, tube sleeve method of converting the hardline to AN fittings. I found this life saver tho at http://www.anplumbing.com. Its a 14mm x 1.5mm adapter. It screws on the stock tube nut and goes from 14mm x 1.5mm to -6AN.
Go to this link : http://www.anplumbing.com/shop...minum
and scroll down till you see Description: Fuel Injection adapter
Looks like this :
and BTW it works GREAT!
and as for the return line, just put the stainless hose on the hardline and tighten it with a worm clamp like stock. If you want the AN fitting look, these are really cool.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
Thats probably not the right size, im not sure what size to use, but just search Ebay motors for Spectre Hose end
