rear disc conversion
im planing on doing a swap from a 92 integra to a 94 cx h/b. the rear disc looks like it will all bolt right up. correct me if im wrong.the brake booster is going 2 be from my cx and the m/c, p/v and the ebrake will be from the integra.
if any1 has done this swap b4 let me know , i will be picking up all the **** 2maro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Yes the rear discs will bolt right up.
If you are only doing a rear disc swap, you do NOT need to get a different Master cylinder (or booster). The only time you need a larger MC is if your adding larger front calipers. And the only time you need a different brake booster is if your new master cylinder won't bolt up to your existing one.
You will, however, need a new proportioning valve to go with your rear disc swap (40/40 or 40/30). Just make sure you don't try to switch the mounting brackets (on the prop valve). If you do, it will open up the valve body and screw up its calibration. I'm using a 40/40 from an integra on my 94cx, and only one mounting bolt hole lined up properly (out of 3). Once bolted down, it seems more than enough to keep the valve mounted properly...

Yup will bolt up. My friend is using rear discs from a 91 Integra for his 91 Civic HB. I am going to use the 91 Integra front brakes for my 92 Civic HB. I got my rear discs from a Del Sol.

94eg! is right however, I used the stock civic bracket with the integra 4040 prop valve and the valve body wasnt open when I was swapping brackets.

I tried taking the bracket off of my 30/30 valve, and once I got the first screw out I noticed the valve body was opening up. I decided it was better to leave it alone. Plus the Helms manual says NEVER to disassemble the valve...

The prop valve really doesn't do anything until considerable pressure is applied to the brakes. At that point it serves to limit the line pressure to the rear brakes to match the sever weight transfer of the vehicle (otherwise the rears would just lock up once most of the vehicle weight transferred to the front tires). Chances are there is only a very minor difference in valving between the 30/30 & the 40/40 (to take advantage of the more reliable disc brakes), but there will probably never be any real proof. The fact is that Honda uses different valves for different cars, so it's probably better to get the one that matches the braking system your going to be using.
An interesting fact is that the 94 Del Sol Si & 94 Del Sol VTEC both use the same proportioning valve, even though the Del Sol VTEC has larger front rotors and calipers.

This is not true. All the 88-00 civic/crx/sol & 90+ teg trailing arms are interchangeable. It's just certain LCAs that will mess up your camber (96-00 civic are an inch longer than all others).

Integra rear LCAs will work perfectly on all 88-95 civics, all del sols, and 89-91 CRXs.
They don't work on 96-00 Civics...

Yes! You'll need the integra brake lines and 40/40 proportioning valve (valve isn't absoloutly necissary). I'm not sure if the Integra E-brake cables will work on your coupe. They should fit, but you may want to do a little more research (mabey sombody else can answer that one)...

i just did the swap on my 94 h/b cx and the rear set-up from the 92 teg bolts up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.the 40/40 p/v from the teg did not line up 4 crap
,so i just used the p/v from a 94 del sol. the p/v from the del sol lines up with all the 3 bolts vs the 40/40 from the teg.

ok, im about to do my brake swap also and i dont wanna run into any types of problems. OK, so i have the rear brakes off a 00 gsr, and im getting front gsr's with the gsr 4040 prop valve. the rears have lines and the fronts are pretty much complete.........sO i 've read that i need a RS integra MC and BB ( or the gsr bb for feel??? ) and a guy emailed me saying i need some line for the rear since the port or something on it is different??? and i plan on gettin SS lines for the brakes, which ones would i need?? ones for my car or for a gsr??

i have a 93 civic CX hatch. and im about to buy the da RS mc and bb, and the guy said i need another line for the back cuz its diff than my mc ...SO is there anything else i need??
ok, lines for the teg, and no my car, cool. any diff on the year??? should i say i need lines for the 00 gsr??
AND as for the mc, i read that the rs mc didnt need any reflaring or rebending of lines as it is a "direct bolt in" ? anybody can back that up??

4 the lines get the ones 4 the 00gsr.
if u dont have 2 bend the lines and reflare it then it should b a bolt on. but i cant back that 100%,i just swaped the rears on my 94 h/b cx.

i did a rear disc brake swap on my vx and it was a pain. but heres a couple of things i know work. i use a 90/91 civic mc and fluid chamber i did not replace my pp valve i could not get it off, i use 90 integra brake cables but i did notice that the rear trailing arms on a 94 and integra don't look the same as a 90 integra
