Default jdm b16a intermediate shaft vs usdm LS shaft

is the JDM B16a intermediate shaft different from the us spec LS ones?

ive always been having a pita with my left axle binding..i go through 2-3 left axles a year...what im thinking is the jdm shaft is a tad longer than the us one...i took pics of mine to show the length..if im correct the us one is something like .5 in shorter

*if anyone has a loose ls shaft can you measure it and post the measurement? thanks in advance

~16.5 inches
