Santa Clara's Wheel Techniques - What they did to my Work Vs-XX wheels - Pictures
So I am driving to work from Union City to Palo Alto one morning and while I am on the Dumbarton Bridge, I hit a pothole going through the toll plaza in the car pool lane. I hit it pretty bad that my CD skipped!
After pulling over I saw this:

OUCH I said and was pretty pissed off about the dam California roadways.....It still held air pressure so I went onto work and hoped I'd make it home 8 hours later....
Then I removed the wheel and saw this on the inside of the wheel!

I had heard about Wheel Tech and gave them a call the next day for them to look at it and give me an estimate! I had already had some minor road rash on 3 of my rims and some of the silver paint was already chipping and pealing on others.

I also had a few caps that were a little faded (plastic laminate was foggy on a few)
Anyway, So I got a quote on how much it would be to repair JUST THE BENT RIM and it was $100 - Not bad I thought, better than buying a new one for $470 and then waiting 2-3 months for it i thought. I then asked how much to repair all the lips and have them repolish them. He said another $80 each, I was down still....then I asked how much more to powder coat / paint them? He said if I do all 3 services (repair bent wheel, repair all the lips, and then strip the old paint and repaint them, he'd hook me up for $550 - I asked about the process and how they go about doing the repairs....would they just mask the lips and repaint over the old silver paint? He said "OH HELL NO!" lol , and said he is going to take apart the whole 3-piece rim and do it legit, clean and polish down the hub, the face and the lips/caps piece by piece and have it all done in 4-5 days. He even invited me to watch the process anytime during the day. I took the offer and was very impressed on their craftmenship, detail, and whole service. For $550 it feels like I got a new set of rims! I debuted them at the Palo Alto Teen Center Car Show and everyone told me how much my car looks better and like my NEW set of rims. I told all of them that this is my OG set from back in the day, just repolished and painted!
....So I am NOW SOLD on Wheel Tech and can VOUCH for them - Here's how they turned out!

what did they do to freshen your caps up? are the ones in your "after" pics new caps or the old ones? I have some VOLK ones that could use some sprucing up.
